Welcome to the FGDL Archive Data Catalog, where you can search, browse, and download archived data (i.e. older versions of data). This catalog also includes current layers, meaning it covers all of FGDL's publicly available data. This catalog is ideal for finding historic data and seeing everything FGDL has to offer.
Welcome to the FGDL Current Data Catalog, where you can search, browse, and download the most current version of FGDL data layers. This catalog includes all FGDL data layers, but only the most recent version. If you want to view and explore map layers, check out the FGDL Explorer, though it does not include all FGDL layers.
Welcome to the FGDL Explorer, an interactive map viewer where you can explore over 300 data layers. However, not all FGDL data layers are available for viewing. Check out the Current Data Catalog for the most comprehensive access to FGDL data.

This dashboard represents journal articles and other publications that have used FGDL data and cited the library in their work. Data on FGDL citations is found using Google Scholar and entered into an AGOL feature layer using Survey123. Citations are mapped according to the location of the institution that the first author is affiliated with. This data is updated periodically as alerts come in from Google Scholar.
The data at this dashboard provides statistics and visualizations for FGDL zip file downloads. Data has been taken from FGDL ftp and https logs and goes back to 2012 (data is missing and partial for 2017 and 2021, and missing for 2018 – 2020). IP addresses were used to find latitude and longitude values, the data was cleaned, added to AGOL, and an AGOL dashboard was created based on the data. The Top FGDL downloads list graph indicates the “generic” name of the layer downloaded. For example, we have several versions of parcel data available online, parcels_2020, parcels_2019, etc, and in this case the generic name is parcels. Be sure to click (and unclick) on graphs to filter the data.
