DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:

In August 2016 GeoPlan downloaded the data from the Florida Senate website at: http://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Redistricting/Plan/2012-CA-2842 The data was in the following geographical coordinate system: GCS_North_American_1983. During the QA/QC process GeoPlan performed the following tasks. -Projected the data to Albers Conical Equal Area [Florida Geographic Data Library] -Added district representatives and party affiliation for the current session. These will be updated after the upcoming election. -Removed fields with population data. -Deleted field COUNTY. This field described the counties that made up the district, however, they had not been updated from the pre-redistricting map so the majority of the entries were incorrect. -Uppercased all fields. -Added DESCRIPT field based on the concatenation of "SENATE DISTRICT" & attribute DISTRICT. -Added FGDLAQDATE field based on the date GeoPlan received the data from the source. -Renamed the dataset from 2012-CA-2842_SHP to usdist_2016 Process Date: 20160809
