After retrieving the data from the individual County Property Appraisers' Offices, Panda Consulting normalized and standardized the data to allow joining the data with the published tax roll and sale information. The raw data from the Property Appraisers' offices is scrubbed to remove barriers to efficiently utilizing the data. Once the raw data is obtained, Panda Consulting imports the parcel polygons into a standardized geodatabase feature class. performing the standardization and projection simultaneously, performs a dissolve on the parcel number field to ensure no duplication and performs the repair geometry function at least twice on each County data set to ensure valid geometry for importation into SDE geodatabases. Likewise, the standard 12D8 file (NAL) is also obtained and standardized so the attribute information can be calculated. The primary key fields in the polygon and the NAL files are then standardized to ensure a valid join and the all respective fields are calculated. All 46 columns in the NSDI / FGDC Core Parcel feature class are included in the structure, (although the values for many of the columns are not available from the Property Appraisers.)
