PAUC Appraiser Land Use Code.

IMPROVVAL The value of the improvements on the parcels.

LNDVAL The value of the land on the parcel.

JV Total Just Value (land just value plus building value plus special feature value) of the property. Factors to be considered in determining just value are: present cash value; use; location; quantity or size; cost; replacement value of improvements; condition; income from property; and net proceeds if the property is sold. The net proceeds equal the value of the property minus 15% of the true market value. This accounts for the cost of selling the property.

JVHMSTD Just Value - Homestead.

ASSD_BLD Assessed building value.

AVSD Assessed Value - For School District Levy. This equals the annual determination of the just or fair market value of an item or property or the value of the homestead property as limited pursuant to s. 4(c), Art. Scale is an important factor in data usage.  Certain scale datasets
are not suitable for some project, analysis, or modeling purposes.

1:24000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
county level.
1:24000 data should NOT be used for high accuracy base mapping such
as property parcel boundaries.
1:100000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
multi-county or regional level.

DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:
After retrieving the data from the individual County Property Appraisers' Offices, 
Panda Consulting normalized and standardized the data to allow joining the data 
with the published tax roll and sale information. The raw data from the Property 
Appraisers' offices is scrubbed to remove barriers to efficiently utilizing the data. 

Once the raw data is obtained, Panda Consulting imports the parcel polygons into 
a standardized geodatabase feature class. performing the standardization and 
projection simultaneously, performs a dissolve on the parcel number field to ensure 
no duplication and performs the repair geometry function at least twice on each 
County data set to ensure valid geometry for importation into SDE geodatabases. 

Likewise, the standard 12D8 file (NAL) is also obtained and standardized so the 
attribute information can be calculated. The primary key fields in the polygon and 
the NAL files are then standardized to ensure a valid join and the all respective 
fields are calculated.

All 46 columns in the NSDI / FGDC Core Parcel feature class are included in the 
structure, (although the values for many of the columns are not available from the 
Property Appraisers.)

The GeoPlan Center received the 2012 Florida Statewide Parcels data layer in File GeoDatabase format via email from Panda Consulting on June 30th, 2012. 062712_2012v1_All_Counties_Albers_HARN.gdb The dataset was in the following projection: Albers Conical Equal Area [Florida Geographic Data Library] GeoPlan restructured the attribute table to better match the previous versions of parcel data available on FGDL. See below for table crosswalk. Additionally GeoPlan checked the longest record for each field and shortened the field lengths to decrease the size and increase the functionality of the statewide layer. GeoPlan added missing features that were also appended to the 2010 data layer, LUCODEs 995 and 999. Added fields; LUCODE, DESCRIPT, FGDLAQDATE, and AUTOID. - Calculated LUCODE based on the parcels land use value DORUC, added value 100 for uses not covered, added values 995 and 999 where GeoPlan inserted missing features. - Calculated DESCRIPT based on the FDOR description for the DORUC values. GeoPlan missing features DESCRIPT (995: NO DATA AVAILABLE (WATER)) and (999: NO DATA AVAILABLE). GeoPlan split the single owner address field back out into two parts OADDR1 and OADDR2, in order for FDOT to more easily create mailing labels. GeoPlan uppercased all of the records. GeoPlan ran the Multipart to Singlepart Command in order to break apart multipart polygons at the countywide extent which where hindering correct acreage summaries at smaller extents. GeoPlan deleted one feature in Hernando County, this feature was outside the county boundary and functioned as an envelope polygon for their mapping purposes, LUCODE = 100. GeoPlan Compressed the ESRI FGDB 9.3.1 to reduce storage requirements, the compression applied is lossless. Once compressed, a dataset looks the same in ArcCatalog and ArcMap as when it was uncompressed. Compressed file geodatabase data takes up less disk space than uncompressed data while still offering comparable display and query performance. Compression is ideally suited to mature datasets that do not require further editing.
