TITLE: GREENWAYS TRAILS PRIORITIZATION PROJECT HIKING TRAILS PRIORITIES

Geodataset Name: HKPRIO
Geodataset Type: SHAPE
Geodataset Feature: POLYGON

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This dataset contains hiking trail opportunities prioritization results from the Office of Greenways and Trails Prioritization Project. The original hiking trail opportunities were identified in the Office of Greenways and Trails Implementation Plan adopted by the Florida Legislature in 1999. The Florida Greenways and Trails Council approved the trail prioritization results contained in this dataset in May 2001. Hiking trail segments include both trails exclusively reserved for hiking and multi- use trails open to hiking, biking and equestrian use. It is assumed that hiking trails are primarily unpaved with some paved areas identified for connectors and on multi-use trails.
