USER NOTES:
These data appear to be logically consistent. No feature errors were identified
The data represents sites with known use by one of the three species of beach
mice mapped. Mapped sites were identified based on knowledge of biologists.
Ommissions may be possible due to the extnent of coverage and difficulty of
surveying all coastal dune areas
GeoPlan relied on the integrity of the attribute information within
the original data.
The GIS files and their associated coordinates are not the definitive
source for determining the critical habitat boundaries for the Choctawhatchee
beach mouse. As noted in the final rule, the textual unit descriptions
constitute the legal source for determining the critical habitat boundaries.
Users of these GIS files are cautioned to refer to the final textual unit
descriptions provided in the final rule as the definitive source in determining
critical habitat areas. When determining critical habitat boundaries, we make
every effort to avoid designating areas that lack the species primary constituent
elements, such as buildings, paved areas, lawns, and other unsuitable areas. Any
such areas inadvertently left inside critical habitat boundaries are not considered part
of the unit. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the Service for a definitive
finding of whether a location is within critical habitat.

Horizontal accuracy was not tested; however, data was created by digiziting
on screen using 1 meter, digital orthophoto quater quads at a view scale of
1:1500 or larger.

This data is provided 'as is' and its vertical positional accuracy
has not been verified by GeoPlan

THE DATA INCLUDED IN FGDL ARE 'AS IS' AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED
AS LEGALLY BINDING. THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA GEOPLAN CENTER SHALL
NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES SUFFERED AS A RESULT OF USING,
MODIFYING, CONTRIBUTING OR DISTRIBUTING THE MATERIALS.

A note about data scale:

Scale is an important factor in data usage. Certain scale datasets
are not suitable for some project, analysis, or modeling purposes.
Please be sure you are using the best available data.

1:24000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
county level.
1:24000 data should NOT be used for high accuracy base mapping such
as property parcel boundaries.
1:100000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
multi-county or regional level.
1:125000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
regional or state level or larger.

Vector datasets with no defined scale or accuracy should be
considered suspect. Make sure you are familiar with your data
before using it for projects or analysis. Every effort has been
made to supply the user with data documentation. For additional
information, see the References section and the Data Source Contact
section of this documentation. For more information regarding
scale and accuracy, see our webpage at:

DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:
Source data were overlayed on 2004 true color digital orthophotos at a
view scale of 1:2000 or larger. The source data (Available Habitat for
Choctawhatchee Beach Mouse) was edited to remove identifiable buildings
and roads. Vertices of existing linework were manipulated whenever
possible to remove non-constituent elements listed above.
Process Date: 2005/2006

GeoPlan received this data in shapefile format via email from USFWS on November 21, 2006. When received, the data was in Geographic projection Albers HARN. - Added a DESCRIPT field to attribute table based on NAME - Upcased all records in the table - Added a FGDLAQDATE field based on date received from source - Renamed shapefile from chbm_fch to CHBM_CH_OCT06 Process Date: 20061129
