TITLE: COMPREHENSIVE EVERGLADES RESTORATION PLAN - PROJECTS
Geodataset Name: CERP_PROJECTS Geodataset Type: SHAPEFILE Geodataset Feature: POLYGONGENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) is a framework and guide to restore, protect, and preserve the water resources of central and southern Florida, including the Everglades. It covers 16 counties over an 18,000-square-mile area, which is organized into 9 regions. CERP centers on an update of the Central & Southern Florida (C&SF) Project. This shapefile, of CERP Projects is an official map of the boundaries of the CERP projects. Attribution on the map shows the project names, CERP Project ID, key contacts, and other critical information for over 80 different projects. |

Attributes are fully populated and consistently presented. Most of the data is programmatic, such as project codes, contacts, etc. Errors, if present, could be attributed to mis-entries or unrecognized changes in the program details. |
A note concerning data scale: Scale is an important factor in data usage. Certain scale datasets are not suitablefor some project, analysis, or modelling purposes. Please be sure you are using the best available data. 1:24000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the county level. 1:24000 data should NOT be used for high accuracy base mapping such as property parcel boundaries. 1:100000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the multi-county or regional level. 1:250000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the regional or state level or larger. Vector datasets with no defined scale or accuracy should be considered suspect. Make sure you are familiar with your data before using it for projects or analyses. Every effort has been made to supply the user with data documentation. For additional information, see the References section and the Data Source Contact section of this documentation. For more information regarding scale and accuracy, see our web pages at: http://www.geoplan.ufl.edu/education.html |
SFWMD For additional information users may also contact: The referenced data steward for this spatial layer, and associated development staff. A number of survey/mapping processes have been used to acquire this data, varying with each project. For more information about how the acquired data is prepared and added in to the data set, contact the data stewards in Land Acquisition. Process Date: Unknown |
