The spatial portion of this data set was downloaded in November 2010. The data was downloaded in shapefile format from the following website: http://www2.census.gov/cgi-bin/shapefiles2009/state-files?state=12 The shapefile was in Decimal Degrees Nad 83 and was projected to Albers HPGN. The demographic data was downloaded from the following site: census.gov Name was changed from tl_2009_12_bg00 to CENBLKGRP_2000 A variety of GIS techniques including python scripting were used to parse, aggregate, and join the tabular demographic data to the spatial data. The result is a feature class with logically named fields that are made up of one or more census fields. Process Date: 20131001 |
