The 2010 TIGER line files were downloaded from the following site: http://www.census.gov/geo/www/tiger/tgrshp2010/tgrshp2010.html When received the data was in Geographic Lat/Long projection. The data was projected to Albers HPGN. The American Community Survey data was downloaded from the Census Bureau in .csv format from: http://www2.census.gov/acs2012_5yr/summaryfile/ Changed name from tl_2010_12_bg10.shp to CENACS_2012 A variety of GIS techniques including python scripting were used to parse, aggregate, and join the tabular demographic data to the spatial data. The result is a feature class with logically named fields that are made up of one or more census fields. Process Date: 20131001 |
