Abstract:
This layer identifies the area where consultation on potential impacts to the Atlantic Salt Marsh Snake should be made, if suitable habitat is present, in the South Florida Ecological Services Office Service Area.
Purpose:
Geographic Information System (GIS) data for the area where consultation with U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service on the Atlantic Salt Marsh Snake is recommended. This boundary is not a sharp demarcation but generally describes the area where the species is most likely to be found in the South Florida Ecological Services Office Service Area. If an activity might result in take of this endangered species the Federal agency or other permitting entity should consult with the Service. In the event that the species is found outside this area, consultation with the Service is also appropriate.
