USER NOTES:
Attribute accuracy is relied on the integrity of the attribute information within the original data layer.

This data was provided to the Water Management Districts and they accepted the layer, via no objection. Later, SWFWMD filed two objections. One objection was reviewed and found to be a mistake on the part of SWFWMD. The other objection has not been reviewed. Islands along wmd boundaries were arbitrarily assigned a wmd name.

A note concerning data scale:

Scale is an important factor in data usage. Certain scale datasets 
are not suitablefor some project, analysis, or modelling purposes. 
Please be sure you are using the best available data.

1:24000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the 
county level.
1:24000 data should NOT be used for high accuracy base mapping such 
as property parcel boundaries.

1:100000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the 
multi-county or regional level.

1:250000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the 
regional or state level or larger.

Vector datasets with no defined scale or accuracy should be considered 
suspect. Make sure you are familiar with your data before using it for
projects or analyses. Every effort has been made to supply the user with

DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:

The line data was interperted from Florida State Statute and digitized on the 
fly from 1;24,000 USGS Mylars. The original projection was UTM.  The Data was 
later projected to DER Lambert and even later to Florida Albers.  The coverage 
was then EXPORTed, FTPed to a DEC/ALPHA running UNIX, and inserted into the quad library.

Coverage was PROJECTed from NAD27 to HPGN. Process Date: 1997
The WMD line coverage was combined with the 1:2m USGS polygon boundary coverage. Dangles and labelerrors and attribution were corrected and a the column NAME was added. Process Date: 1998
Shapefile of this dataset was inserted into Spatial Database Engine. Process Date: 1999
Linework was adjusted along boundary in Jefferson County between NWFWMD and SRWMD. Process Date: 20030429
The boundary between SJRWMD and SWFWMD was changed during the 2003 Florida Legislative Session. The linework was edited to reflect the change that SJRWMD no longer extends into Polk County. Process Date: 20040130
GeoPlan downloaded this dataset from the FDEP website (http://www.dep.state.fl.us/) in June 2004. The data was downloaded in shapefile format in the following projection: Albers HPGN. -Added perimeter field to attribute table. -Added descript field based on full description of the name field. Process Date: 20040614
