FIRSTDESCR Description of the road where the hydrological field intersected it.

DESCRIPT Field added by FGDL based on FIRSTDESCR.

DATASET Field added by FGDL based on whether it overlaped with existing FGDL layers FACCROSS, BRIDGES, both, or none.

USER NOTES:
GeoPlan relied on the integrity of the attribute information within the original data.

This dataset is a combination of hydrological bridge location information created by the FGDL.

A note concerning data scale:

Scale is an important factor in data usage. Certain scale datasets
are not suitablefor some project, analysis, or modelling purposes.
Please be sure you are using the best available data.

1:24000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
county level.
1:24000 data should NOT be used for high accuracy base mapping such
as property parcel boundaries.

1:100000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
multi-county or regional level.

1:250000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
regional or state level or larger.

Vector datasets with no defined scale or accuracy should be considered
suspect. Make sure you are familiar with your data before using it for
projects or analyses. Every effort has been made to supply the user with
data documentation. For additional information, see the References section
and the Data Source Contact section of this documentation. For more
information regarding scale and accuracy, see our web pages at:

DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:

Process Steps for Hydrological Bridge Locations:

-Bridges Over Hydrological Features
-Shapefiles HY24L and RDS24 for the State of Florida were used to build
the Bridges over hydrological features dataset.

-Select by Attribute in the HY24L dataset.
Set DESC1 = Right bank or Left bank
	Export Selection (HY24L_lbrb)

-Select by Location in the previous created (HY24L_lbrb) dataset
-Select (HY24L_lbrb) that Intersects RDS24
-Export Selection (HY24L_lbrbsm)

-Select by Location in the RDS24 dataset
Select RDS24 that Intersects previous created (HY24L_lbrbsm) dataset
	Export Selection (RDS24_lbrbsm)

-In ArcView 3.2 Turn on Extension 1st Tools
Open layers (RDS24_lbrbsm), and (HY24L_lbrbsm) in View Activate 1st Tools
Select Calculates the location of intersection points of
 two themes: polyline or polygon.

-Select both layers and Name Output (Inters_ST)
-ADD XY Coordinates, using 1st Tools.

-Open previous created (Inters_ST) dataset Attribute Table, if the original
FID for the RDS24 does not appear then join the RDS24 Table through a
 Spatial Join.

-In ArcView 3.2 Turn on Extension: Points to Lines or Polylines.
Open previous created (Inters_ST) dataset and Select Points to Lines
	or Polylines button.

-In the Points to Lines or Polylines Window
Select the X Field to be the X_coord
Select the Y Field to be the Y_coord
Select the Feature ID Field to be the RDS24 Original FID
Select the Vertex ID Field to be Id
Select the Attribute Field to be the RDS24 Original Descript Field
Select the line type to be Segmented
	Select Yes for Calculate Statistics
Select Yes for Trap points events
Save lines and points to a Directory of your choice.
Select Proceed at the bottom of the Screen.
The ArcView viewer will contain the line and point datasets after
	the process has finished running.

-If you are having trouble reading the Lines dataset then activate the
Lines Theme and select the Theme Drop down menu, and Convert to Shape
(save in a directory of your choice), this will be the new bridges
 dataset.

-New Water based Bridges Dataset containing 1355 Records (New Bridges).
-QAQC against DOQQs.

-Select by Location; Create New Selection that intersects the FGDL
Bridges dataset Apply buffer of 100 Meters to FGDL Bridges dataset.
-Marked DATASET field as BRIDGES.

-Select by Location; Create New Selection that intersect the FGDL
FACCROSS Bridges dataset Apply buffer of 100 Meters to FGDL Bridges dataset.
-Select by Attribute; Remove Form Current Select, DATASET = ''.
-Maerked DATASET field as BRIDGES_FACCROSS.

-Select by Location; Create New Selection that intersect the FGDL
FACCROSS Bridges dataset Apply buffer of 100 Meters to FGDL Bridges dataset.
-Select by Attribute; Remove Form Current Select, DATASET <> ''.
-Marked DATASET field as FACCROSS.
-Marked all other rows where DATASET = '' as NO OVERLAP.

-The Shapefile was created using the FGDL Albers HPGN map projection
