This feature class contains lands that make up the State Parks and State Trails in Florida as of November 1st, 2017. This is an update to the FGDL layer STPARK_DEC15.
The dataset is provided to show the boundaries of all of the State Parks in Florida.

Battle reenactments and Native American festivals celebrate Florida's history, while art shows, museums and lighthouses offer a window into Florida's cultural heritage. The goal of the Florida Park Service is to help create a sense of place by showing park visitors the best of Florida's diverse natural and cultural sites. During the AQ/QC process the following tasks were undertaken: - Redefined the dataset's projection from FDEP Albers to FGDL Albers. - Upcased all records in the table except the URL. - A DESCRIPT field was added based on SITE_NAME. - A FGDLAQDATE field was added based on date downloaded from its source. - Renamed file from PARKS_AND_REC_AREAS.shp to stpark_nov17.shp Please Note: The following is why the record count has not changed. In the previous December 2015 edition LAKE LOUISA STATE PARK (S00108) was captured by two separate features (2 table records), it's now 1 multipart feature. Additionally this update adds a new park, Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park.
