TYPE Code for boundary type in the arc attribute table. 1 Scarp Only 2 Unknown Feature, connected to 'Scarp Only' feature 3 Unknown Feature, disconnected 10 Section boundary, no scarp 11 Section boundary, scarp 19 Section boundary, added to close polygon 20 District boundary, no scarp 21 District boundary, scarp 29 District boundary, added to close polygon 30 Province boundary, no scarp 31 Province boundary, scarp 39 Province boundary, added to close polygon DESCRIPT Item added for FGDL; Based on TYPE item.
USER NOTES:
Please note the original data is in regions, therefore this data layer is made of both lines and polygons.
Fairly detailed descriptions for each physiographic division are given in "The Guide to Physiographic Divisions of Florida." Descriptions include information about elevation, geology, soils, and vegetation.
FGDL QUALITY ASSURANCE STATUS:
-Coverage was rePROJECTed from UTM Zone 17 to FGDL Albers.
-Tolerances were set to FGDL standards.
-All attribute records were converted to uppercase format.
-DESCRIPT item added based on TYPE

DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:
The source map was developed in 1981 on a 1:500:000 scale basemap provided by U.S. Geological Survey. The Physiographic Regions layer was developed in two stages. At first, only the area within St. Johns River Water Management District was digitized sometime before October 1995. Then in December 1997, the rest of the features on the map were added to the data layer. Initial arc features possess a VERSION value of 1, while secondary arc features possess a VERSION value of 2. Spatial accuracy is questionable with this data layer and should be assessed before the layer is determined to be an appropriate component for a particular analysis. This problem is due to the condition of the source document, the two-step development process. The original dataset existed in UTM, Zone 17, NAD 1983, 1990 Adjustment.
