Process_Description:: GeoPlan downloaded this dataset from the Department of Environmental Protections website: (<http://www.dep.state.fl.us/waste/quick_topics/database_reports/pages/stcm/petro_reports.htm>) on January 24, 2008. The data was downloaded as an excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet was converted to a dbf. Fields were present providing the latitude and longitude of each point in decimal degrees. These values were converted to x y coordinates using the formula: Decimal Degrees = Degrees + ((Minutes / 60) + (Seconds / 3600)). The xy points were then used to create a point shapefile using the add xy data command in Arcmap. The points were then projected to Albers HARN, NAD 83, GRS 80.
