Large Quantity Generators of Hazardous Waste are tracked in this coverage based on their notification to the Department of Environmental Protection as to their handler status, or based on inspections conducted at their facilities. These facilities are regulated under the federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and applicable state regulations as generators of hazardous wastes in quantities equal to or greater than 1,000 Kg in any one calendar month.

This dataset was downloaded by the GeoPlan Center on 7/8/2019 from the FDEP website (http://geodata.dep.state.fl.us/). The data was received as a geodatabase and was in the following projection: NAD_1983_HARN_Florida_GDL_Albers. This dataset is updated daily. Contact the FDEP for the most recent data. - Added the field DESCRIPT based on NAME. - Added fields LAT_DD, LONG_DD, MGRS, and GOOGLEMAP. LAT_DD and LONG_DD were calculated using the calculate geometry command and selecting decimal degrees as the units.
