Abstract:
This dataset contains the boundaries for the State of Florida House Voting Districts, as redrawn by the Florida Legislature in 2002. This layer is an update of the previous version in FGDL and consists only of attribute updates. Linework for districts changes every 10 years based on the census.
Purpose:
This data set provides FL House Districts as well as contact information for FL Representatives.

GeoPlan downloaded this data from the Office of Economic and Demographic Research website (<http://edr.state.fl.us/redistricting/districts.htm>) on 3/3/2008. The data was downloaded in shapefile format and was in the following projection: D_North_American_1983_HARN The previous FGDL version of this dataset was projected based on D_North_American_1983 which was incorrect.

This update from EDR consists only of attribute updates. Linework for districts changes every 10 years based on the census.

-Added 'DESCRIPT' field based on 'DISTRICT'. -Added field 'FGDLAQDATE' based on date downloaded from source. -Excluded and exported 'FREDS 2000' statistical information into supplemental table (SEE USER NOTES).
