This GIS data set represents the 2009-2010 Wildlife Management Areas administered by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), and other associated public use areas. These data are intended as a general reference map only. Wildlife Management Area boundaries were produced by "heads-up" digitizing from 1999 USGS infrared imagery (DOQQ). In specified cases, Florida Natural Areas Inventory (FNAI) boundaries were used and modified based on the DOQQs (see SOURCE attribute). All boundaries are based on information from PDF maps of the Wildlife Management Areas from the FWC Outdoor Recreation Web site: <http://myfwc.com/recreation/list.html> and <http://www.wildflorida.org/hunting/default.asp>.
