Abstract:

This data set contains locations of and information on sites that are regulated under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Hazardous waste information is contained in the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Information (RCRAInfo), a national program management and inventory system about hazardous waste handlers. In general, all generators, transporters, treaters, storers, and disposers of hazardous waste are required to provide information about their activities to state environmental agencies. These agencies, in turn pass on the information to regional and national EPA offices. This regulation is governed by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), as amended by the Hazardous and Solid Waste Amendments of 1984. Purpose:

RCRA is used by EPA programs, regions, states, and water programs for monitoring water quality. It is one of 20 critical EPA data sets that serve as a basis for supporting environmental analysis and decision making.

Overall horizontal positional accuracy for the entire data set fluctuates as new information is received and is not estimated for the entire data set within this record. On a monthly basis, the FRS_FACILITY_SITE_SDE sde layer is created from FRS_FACILITY_SITE table. The layer has QA/QC performed for county validation and a 100 km flag. After QA/QC is performed, information is made available to Envirofacts, where it is extracted and made available as a service on geodata.epa.gov. STEP 2: Selected all column(s) for the output by clicking on the square box next to each of the column names. Then click on "STEP 3: Enter Search Criteria" button at the bottom of the page.

STEP 3: Enter Search Criteria and Organize the Output -> enter Program System Acronym = RCRAINFO -> enter State Code = FL -> click on button "Output to CSV File"

Saved CSV file and then converted it to .dbf file using Excel.
