MapMarker adds a Latitude column to your table, where the latitude (y coordinate) information is written when a record is geocoded |
|
LONG_ |
MapMarker adds a Longitude column to your table, where the Longitude (X coordinate) information is written when a record is geocoded |
|
CENSUSID |
MapMarker adds a 15-character code column CensusID to your table where the Census Block IDs are populated as output, or partial Census information, depending on the quality (See Overview Description below for Code details) |
|
GEORESULT |
MapMarker adds a georesult column and returns a result code for every record it attempts to match. The code indicates the success or failure of the geocoding operation as well as conveys information about the quality of the match. Each character of the code indicates the level of precision of each address component matched. The code is an alphanumeric code of 1-10 characters. The codes fall into four major categories: Single unique match, Best match from multiple candidates, ZIP Code centroid match, Non-match. The codes reflect the settings you choose or accept in the Geocode dialog box. They also reflect the quality of the data in both your table to be geocoded and the Address Dictionary (See Overview Description below for Code details) |

BEST MATCH FROM MULTIPLE CANDIDATES (M category) M1 - multiple matches, point located at ZIP Code centroid M2 - multiple matches, point located at ZIP + 2 centroid M3 - multiple matches, point located at ZIP + 4 centroid M4 - multiple matches, point located at the center of a shape point path (shape points define the shape of the street polyline) M5 - multiple matches, point located at a street address position (highest accuracy available) M6 - multiple matches, point located at point ZIP location MX - multiple matches, point located at street intersection M0 - multiple matches, no coordinates available For either S or M category result codes, eight additional characters describe how closely the Address in your table matches an address in the Address Dictionary. The characters appear in the order given. ANY NON-MATCHED COMPONENTS ARE REPRESENTED BY A DASH. Result Code Description Example Component H House Number 110 P Street Prefix North N Street Name Fletcher T Street Type Place S Street Suffix SE C City Name Boulder Z ZIP Code 80303 A or U Address Dictionary A or User Dictionary POSTAL CENTROID MATCHES (Z CATEGORY) Z1 - ZIP Code centroid match Z2 - ZIP + 2 centroid match Z3 - ZIP + 4 centroid match (highest accuracy available) Z0 - ZIP Code match, no coordinates available (very rare) Z6 - ZIP Code centroid match for point ZIP NON-MATCH CODES N - No close match. These records can be re-geocoded interactively or during subsequent automatic passes under different matching conditions. NX - No close match for street intersections. ND - MapMarker could not find the Address Dictionary for the given ZIP Code or city/state. These records can be re-geocoded once the Address Dictionary is available. An ND code can also appear in the fields of ZIP + 4 output columns, e.g., MapMarker returns 12180-23ND. In this case the ND code represents ZIP + 4 Codes associated with nondelivery areas such as vacant lots or other areas to which the US Postal Service does not deliver mail. NG - The user marks these records during interactive geocoding as non-geocodable. GEOCODE EXAMPLE: S5-P--S-A S5 it found a single match to a street address The missing components in the result code are represented by dashes. It did not match for: -house number (H) - street name (N) - street type (T) - city (C) - ZIP Code (Z) A perfect street level match would return a result code with every component of the address matched and would look like S5HPNTSCZA. |

GeoPlan relied on the integrity of the attribute information within the original data. |
Definitions for these limited use wells and statutory authorization to regulate them are found in section 381.0062 of the Florida Statutes. Chapter 64E-8 of the Florida Administrative Code establishes the rules to implement the statutes. It includes setback standards for private water systems, construction standards for multi-family water systems, and construction and operation standards for limited use public water systems. The program is implemented at the local level by the county health departments. "Limited use commercial public water system" means a public water system not covered or included in the Florida Safe Drinking Water Act which serves one or more nonresidential establishments and provides piped water. "Limited use community public water system" means a public water system not covered or included in the Florida Safe Drinking Water Act which serves five or more residences or two or more rental residences and provides piped water. |
This program regulates Limited Use Public Water Systems (public water systems which are not covered by the Safe Drinking Water Act), multi-family water systems, and private water systems. The Department of Health licenses and regulates Limited-Use Community and Commercial drinking water supplies that do not fall under the jurisdiction of the Safe Drinking Water Act. |
This data is provided 'as is' and its horizontal positional accuracy has not been verified by GeoPlan. The point locations in this layer were dervived from a geocoding process. What is Geocoding? Geocoding is term used to describe the act of address matching. Geocoding is the process of finding a geographic location (x, y point) for an address (such as street number and name, city, state, and ZIP Code) on a map. Geocoding is based off the typical address scheme for the US, in which one side of the street contains even house numbers while the other side of the street contains odd house numbers. The geocoding process uses an algorithm to find the geographic location of addresses. First, a street segment is identified using the zip code and street name. Next, the geographic location of the address is matched using the building number to determine how far down the street and on which side of the street the building is located. Geocoding Accuracy The locational accuracy of geocoded addresses may vary from urban to rural areas due to the algorithm used to generate the geographic locations of addresses. The algorithm assumes that the size of parcels is equivalent along a road route. This assumption tends to be more consistent in urban areas, where the size of parcels varies less than in rural areas. Consequently, the results of geocoded addresses in urban areas are usually more reliable than those in rural areas. For example, the locational accuracy of rural addresses can be slightly off because some parcels along a rural route may be 15 acres while others may be 2.5 acres, but the geocoding algorithm assumes that the addresses are distributed evenly along the route. |

THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA GEOPLAN CENTER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES SUFFERED AS A RESULT OF USING, MODIFYING, CONTRIBUTING OR DISTRIBUTING THE MATERIALS. A note about data scale: Scale is an important factor in data usage. Certain scale datasets are not suitable for some project, analysis, or modeling purposes. Please be sure you are using the best available data. 1:24000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the county level. 1:24000 data should NOT be used for high accuracy base mapping such as property parcel boundaries. 1:100000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the multi-county or regional level. 1:125000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the regional or state level or larger. Vector datasets with no defined scale or accuracy should be considered suspect. Make sure you are familiar with your data before using it for projects or analysis. Every effort has been made to supply the user with data documentation. For additional information, see the References section and the Data Source Contact section of this documentation. For more information regarding scale and accuracy, see our webpage at: http://geoplan.ufl.edu/education.html |
